Halsey To Play Red Rocks This Summer

Angsty pop sensation Halsey will return to Denver this summer, taking over Red Rocks Amphitheatre during “The Manic World Tour” on July 27. The “Bad At Love” singer will bring along pop/hip-hop musician blackbear and rock band PVRIS making for a genre-spanning triple threat. Halsey’s forthcoming performance marks a return to the iconic venue for the performer, who last hit the amphitheater in the summer of 2018.

Halsey has not released an album since hopeless fountain kingdom in 2017, but that didn’t stop her from releasing the chart-topping one-off “Without Me” in the fall of 2018, her first Billboard 100 number 1 hit as a solo artist. Her highly-anticipated new album, Manic is slated to drop on January 17. The album, the Grammy-nominated singer’s third official release, has been preceded by hits like “Graveyard” and “SUGA’s Interlude” featuring South Korea’s burgeoning pop group BTS.

Every Artist Playing Red Rocks in 2020…So Far

In the weeks ahead, Denver will be pummeled with announcements about the 2020 Red Rocks lineup. But the next year’s calendar is filling , with a mix of electronic audio and nation.

Here is what’s happening so much at Colorado’s grandest place next year.

Galantis along with 3LAU

April 24

The cat-loving EDM manufacturers in Galantis, that played with the Westword Music Showcase at 2018, will mesmerize the crowd. On Friday, November 1, manhood Christian Karlsson injured himself on stage, and the group announced it would be canceling all displays until further notice. Since that time, however, the duo has posted to media about a string of gigs it intends to perform in 2020, such as the Red Rocks concert. Assuming that is still a go — and it appears to be — Galantis will be combined with fellow DJ Justin David Blau, that plays as 3LAU.

Brantley Gilbert

May 8 and 9

Country celebrity Brantley Gilbert boasts songs about smallish cities and automobiles, breakups and a husky voice. He’s using a huge season with his new album, Fire and Brimstone, reaching number one on Billboard’s top country albums chart (his third successive album to do so). Get ready to”Fire’t Up,” country-radio style, two nights in a row.

Die Antwoord

May 10

The South African hip-hop crew Die Antwoord postponed its 2019 Red Rocks stop in the midst of controversy over an eleven-minute video showing members yelling”faggot” because they assaulted homosexual musician Andy Butler back in 2012. The bandmates tried to describe the episode in a follow-up 2019 video, in which they accused Butler of stalking them. Shortly afterward, the collective canceled a string of U.S. shows and festival appearances. Apparently, time heals all. In May, they’re back with EDM-infused hip convinced to bring forgetful and the pliable .

Global Dub Festival

May 16

Global Dub Festival is just one of the largest parties of the year. The 2020 edition will comprise headliners Liquid Strangers and Subtronics, along with guest Herobust. Dance on, Denver.

David Gray

July 23

David Gray will mark the 25th anniversary of the album White Ladder having a summertime stand at Red Rocks. Back in 2000, this album — his project to date — attracted the British folktronic singer-songwriter lots of lovers, with a ton of ballads that assisted launch stars such as Ed Sheeren.

Alison Wonderland Announces First-Ever Headlining Show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Shortly after concluding the Lost My Mind tour alongside Dillon Francis, Alison Wonderland has announced perhaps her biggest milestone yet. The Australian DJ/producer will headline Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado for an event called Temple of Wonderland next fall.

Joining her on the lineup are bass music mainstays Ekali, Medasin and Wuki. The announcement follows Red Rocks being named Best Outdoor Concert Venue in the 30th Annual Pollstar Awards.

“I can’t believe this is happening,” wrote Alison Wonderland (real name Alexandra Sholler) in an Instagram post. “Announcing my first ever headlining show at Red Rocks. Temple of Wonderland. This is a dream come true for me.”

Sholler released her debut album, Run, in 2015 and followed it up with last year’s Awake. In the same amount of time, she’s amassed a diehard international following that has made her a staple of the EDM festival circuit.

Alison Wonderland’s Temple of Wonderland concert will take place at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Thursday, September 12th. Presale tickets are available at RedRocks.co here.

Zedd Announces Headlining Debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Zedd on the Rocks is coming this summer.

Zedd has announced he’ll be taking his talents to Morrison, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre this summer for a special performance. Zedd on the Rocks marks the “365” producer’s debut headlining set at the iconic open air venue.

Zedd (real name Anton Zaslavski) will be heading to Red Rocks with Hippie Sabotage, Snakehips, and Dwilly along for support. The eclectic lineup reads something more like a small festival than a regular tour stop. Similar to his 2018 Zedd in the Park event, Zaslavski is sparing no expense. He’s promising all-new show production, too.

“It has been a dream of mine to play my own Red Rocks show ever since I saw Incubus’ Alive DVD at this magical venue many, many years ago,” said Zaslavski. “I’m beyond excited to finally announce this show and bring my new production to Red Rocks!”

Fan presale for Zedd on the Rocks begins Wednesday, February 27th at 10:00 AM MST. General tickets will be on sale this Friday, March 1st at 10 AM MST. Grab tickets at ZeddOnTheRocks.com

Illenium Goes On Sudden Response Spree On Twitter, Fans Flood Him With Questions

Normally if an artist, celebrity, or athlete wants to answer fan questions on the internet, they’ll do a form of AMA: ask me anything. Platforms that support this vary from Reddit, where there’s an actual community for it; Instagram, where there’s a question button built in; or Twitter, where it’s admittedly a bit more messy. Then again, fans can just notice a public figure is answering lots of questions and start flooding the person with more! The latter seems to be the case with Illenium this past weekend.

Fans began pouring their questions to Illenium, who answered quite a good amount, a couple dozen at least. Sometimes, he wasn’t even answering questions at all, just responding to random fans who hadn’t even tagged him!

Some highlights if you don’t want to scroll through all the tweets below:

Two nights of Red Rocks 2019 There will be an album this year, but he doesn’t know when The title of the new track he just dropped is “PRAY” Festival sets this year won’t be Awake 2.0, but they won’t be DJ sets, either. Kacey Musgraves Announces Red Rocks Concert

Kacey Musgraves, now about the Oh, What a World Tour, announced today, December 10, she is going to be performing in June in Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Her Red Rocks show, combined with two Tedeschi Trucks Band concerts on June 29 announced, violate what had appeared like a burial of female artists headlining the venue in 2019; out of their first thirty-some concerts announced, not one had been fronted exclusively with a woman.

Musgraves, who just introduced an old-timey country song,”Kansas City Star,” was nominated for four 2018 Grammy Awards, such as Album of the Year and Best Country Album for Golden Hour, Best Country Solo Performance for”Butterflies” and Best Country Song for”Space Cowboy.”

She’ll be performing on June 26, also tickets to the Red Rocks concert are available today at Redrocks.co or in AXS.
